Geothermal Industries was involved in the early stages of the project and was selected to drill a completed Vertical Ground Heat Exchanger with the inclusion of a test hole to 100m on the site for a Thermal Conductivity Test.
After selecting from our fleet our new specialised Atlas Copco Well Drill drill, we were able to drill, install, grout and test on average 160m of Geothermal loops per working day. Geothermal Industries was able to install 2.7km of vertical Geothermal Loops before programme and without any issues. Geothermal Industries was able to drive casing past the troublesome zones and complete each borehole ahead of the intended schedule.
During the install of each of the 27 bores GIA were happy to report a 100% success rate of getting each ground heat exchanger installed to depth. The loop field we have installed on this project will outperform spec with the inclusion of the Muovitech turbo loops and Geothermal “Super Grout” installed on the project.
